Starts with Bass (and his name is no longer fuzzed out, hooray) being 'arrested' by security NetNavis, as ordered by their scientist creators. They place limiters on his wrists and ankles & put him inside a digital energy barrier. He goes along quietly because Cossack spoke to him first and told him the other scientists were being unreasonable by calling for his deletion, and he wasn't going to let that happen. But for now he had to cooperate.
After being taunted and speaking to Cossack in the following pages (he doesn't actually hear all the stuff the other scientists say about him there), he spends a long while in that cell in lonely silence before the memory ends.
